WE, the contributors to TORONTOTORIES.COM, known for all practical purposes collectively as the TORONTO TORIES, herein declare our charter and its mandate:
ALWAYS bound to protect the interests of our city, province and country, but not necessarily bound to any political organization or party, we exist to promote scholarship and opinions that we think will contribute to the intellectual development of our fellow citizens. Our objective is to disseminate facts and arguments to Canadians who seek open and sophisticated debates about matters of economic, political, historical and philosophical importance. THE successful advancement of our educational agenda relies upon the strict adherence to a moral code of civility, honesty and fairness. When advocating a certain viewpoint, we will address instances of hypocrisy or inaction by individuals who profess to share these views, and will be quick to congratulate members of different political stripes who do support such views. THE mediums used on this website include links to local or external documents and multimedia. We may make occasional blog posts, or upload papers. Additionally, we will monitor the movements to or away from the sort of city, province and country we have, which may include: popular culture and ideas; the state of our laws; our global fulfillment of obligations; domestic standards of health, education, financial security, and so forth; the level of creativity - industrial, scientific, artistic, etc.; the preservation of our planet, its resources and its life! OUR views are not uniform, but we share a united devotion to the independence of all rational and lawful persons, the protection of these liberties and a careful balance of societal interests. |
